How Did You Decide on Your Dreamies?

I look for fresh faces, I went through a lot of villagers In new leaf. So I wanted some new and some old that I loved, like Lucky, Beau and Fauna.

 

[Altarium]

It was pretty easy. I wanted my 5 favorites from my NL town to carry over and live with me again on the island. Those were Julian, Diana, Skye, Fang and Beau. As for the others, I'm going to be rotating for a while to find villagers I'd like, but I mostly want villagers who fit the theme: Deirdre, Poppy, Piper, Molly, Maple, Lily...

 

[Dewasa]

As bad as this sounds, I first go with what's popular as I'm sure there's a reason why they are popular through majority vote. I then drill them down by looks (I know, it sounds worse, lol). Then I review what their houses look like, LOLOL. Only after all that will I try to balance personalities and gender.

 

[Figment]

Most of my dreamies became dreamies after I found them. Sprinkle and Midge were found on islands and I can't imagine them not being in my village.

Pietro is a dreamie because he's so cute and colorful. I've seen videos of him in people's villages and he's just so cute! I love seeing him sing.

I made up a town theme and then went down the list of each personality type and picked the ones that would make sense in my town.

Castle:
Ankha - "Queen of Solstice and has the most authority. She's often busy planning and scheming so she gave Tom Nook the position to act in her absence."
Kiki - "The Queen's right hand and possible rel...."
Coco - "The Captain of the guard."

Desert:
Katt (Normal citizen)
Tabby (Normal citizen)
Rowan (Normal citizen)

Dungeon:
Chops - "Was the previous right hand but was found guilty of treason. He rots in the dungeon awaiting his execution."
Octavian - "Unknown being from far away land put in the dungeon for demanding the people of Solstice worship him as a God."
Escapee??? - "It's just an empty cell, but the question is... should it be empty?"

Loner:
Rizzo - "Strange mouse that seems to keep to himself. Reports claim to see him sneaking in and out of the castle yard. What is he up to?"
Lucky - "After being brutally scarred from a long passed war. Lucky spends his time tending the graveyard as many of his fallen friends rest there."

i chose my dreamies based off of villagers that i had in new leaf and loved (lolly, skye, sprinkle, diana). i was planning on having bam and beau but discovered kid cat and zucker so they’ve become dreamies, now. i also chose dobie because i’ve never had him before and i really like the idea of an elderly wolf villager lmao. and audie i fell in love with when i first saw a screenshot of her so she’s a dreamie now, too.
