How did I get a DLC from Japan!?

So I'm traveling farrr into the future and I'm about three weeks into July now trying to get Flora to move out withou success. I got a bit of mail I wanted to save and I saw the "ask about a gift" option, and well, why not? I asked Pelly for a gift and she gave me a clerk's shirt. And this is a NL copy in North America. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it because I time traveled?
