How can I tan when it's not summer any more?

I just waded in the island water for 15 minutes and my character still hasn't tanned. She only had a wetsuit on - no accessories. What am I doing wrong? ;~; I tanned from 8:40 a.m. to 8:55 a.m.

Hmmm... I don't know the exact time but I would do an hour to be safe. Did you put your player in the water? Remember it has to be in motion.

Go to the island! Summer all the time there meaning you can tan all year long!

I finally got the tan I wanted by TTing 7 days back, then wading in the water for about 15 minutes then TTing to the next day until I reached the present date.
