How can i keep my town perfect every day?

Do we know if you can have items on floor breifly? - so long as it's not over 6am? Cause I can't do 2 weeks without trading and cataloguing, or emptying house onto plaza to sort everything. D:
I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think that leaving items on the floor briefly affects the perfect town status. I mean the status will be affected while the items are there, but it'll be fine once you remove them.

I think you can leave furniture, tools, and such on the ground as long as it's not trash. In Aika village they have a lot of things on the ground, but they have the Jacob's ladders growing around town. So basically, keep your flowers alive, pull all your weeds, and don't leave any kind of trash on the ground.
The other day I had a bunch of furniture lying outside of my train station. I asked Isabelle about citizen satisfaction and she said something about how the villagers felt like they were living in a cesspool? and that those were their words, not hers. After I picked up the items she said that my town was perfect.
Aika villaga has Jacob's Ladder because it *was* perfect at one point. But there is no way that it can be perfect now since it's covered in weeds and whatnot. I'm pretty sure that I saw more than 10 weeds when I visitted @_@

Yes so because of that does that mean you have to wait 14 days from when you picked up everything? or because you pick it all up within the day does it not matter?
As your town is not perfect 14 complete days if you have items on the floor for some of it. :/
If you're trying to get 600 Jacob's ladder, I recommend putting them in storage as soon as you see them. I don't know if I'm just unlucky, but I noticed that once I had 4 Jacob's Ladder, they would stop spawning despite still having perfect @_@;; So I'd put them in storage and more would spawn.
I don't know if maybe I'm just unlucky or if there is a limit to how many can spawn, but I thought that I'd share that with you.

I can't test this since I've already gotten my golden watering can. But I don't think that it affects it. I mean, I don't see how having an imperfect town for a few minutes/hours should affect the overall state of the day. You should be fine as long as your town is back to perfect by the end of the day (not 100% sure though)
