i've been playing the gamecube version and want to do some acnl too, but have no motivation to pick up my ds?? what suggestions do y'all have to help moi? (aside from resetting aha)

I try to complete things, like my enyclopedia and museums. Have you already done all that? I also do the daily meow coupon tasks, even if I don't necessarily need the coupons they tend to get me into other things or run into nieghbors that need errands etc. Their objectives usually help me find more things to do in my day.

i look for things to complete, too. like getting all of my desired villagers, or finishing up the landscape, or earning more badges. i think about the things i left unfinished, and then i go back and finish them

I try to get all the pictures from my current villagers, even if they aren't my dreamies. That takes a lot of errands to be run which usually keeps me busy!

I try to make a good town theme. Acnl has a lot more to do than Population Growing. Making friends on here helps me play too.

aha just as an insight for any future responses, not to discredit anyone's already existing ideas - i've got all badges to gold except streetpass, which is not gonna happen anytime soon. encyclopedia and museum are done; i'll certainly do some of the more mundane things like villager deliveries though!

Try to make your dream town. It could be an elaborate theme or just some nice pwps. Anything you want!

for sure! just need to think of something elaborate now haa

Does your town have other characters? If not, I suggest making a new character so you can decorate his or hers house. I like to try and come up with really unique rooms that no one else has. I recently redecorated some rooms in my Cherish town and I love how they turned out. One of my favorites is a groovy 70's hippy room for Harvey. Another is a bank owned by Tom Nook.

I took a couple month hiatus because I was super sad about house placements and I was just bored. What got me back into playing was setting a tiny goal and building onto it. Like I wanted to move out Tiffany and get Freya and that got me playing again!

Hi! Like everyone else said, completing things (encyclopaedia, museum, house, landscaping etc) is a great way to get back into the game again! This happened to me not long ago. I'm a serial time traveler, so I stopped time traveling and focused on styling Mayor Emmaline's house, laying paths, planning PWPs and landscaping. It can also be more enjoyable if you have a buddy or something for trading/ selling items, as well as general gameplay.

If you feel tired of what you have, try and rework your town design! Make it a different theme, make a creepy forest, or a pretty and pink garden town! I also typically take a long break from the game, and always come back, if anything, I have a friend hold my items and restart the game. Having to reopen shops and items always gives me a drive, and also making a really pretty town is also a big motivator for myself.

I'd also try to get every item in the catalog, or upgrading your shops all the way, or unlocking Katrinas. You could also try not relying on the form to provide items for you, so you have a reason to play for it every day even for less than 5 minutes to get items you want or need!
