I've just reset, and I haven't been plot resetting.. I don't really care right now, since I haven't really started developing anything, but I'm sure I'll regret it later. >.<
Mine are scattered across the map because I let my villagers move wherever they wanted (no plot resetting). I like how everything turned out, thankfully :3 I especially like that Marshal and Mitzi are next door neighbors.
mine are close together, in the bottom part of the map. takes me forever to plot reset. i wish they could be in a straight line though, i have no idea how people get them like that ;o;
For me, the houses are split up into clusters of 3; 3 towards the bottom left, 3 along the right side, and 3 in the middle of town. So I suppose they're scattered, but certainly some method to the madness.
