How are you supposed to catch citrus long-horned beetles and jewel beetles?

What an odd glitch...

The very first two stumps I made (side by side) produced both these bugs at the same time, just minutes later. But to not see the bug animation at all?

I'd love to learn the specifics of what it takes for that to happen.

If anyone can get a vid of it I'd love to see it.

I don't have a glitchy stump anymore, so I can't make a video. But the way it looks is you can't see a bug on top of it at all. It looks completely empty all the time, whether a bug is there or not. But if a bug had spawned on it and you walk too close, you can see and hear the animation of it jumping away and disappearing.

I don't know what causes it because I have only had the 1 glitchy stump (it was the very first stump I made) and no other stump has been that way. It must be rare because I haven't seen anyone talk about it or seem affected by it other than me until AlinaBanana brought it up. This glitch is not caused by any of the recent updates. I had it happen to me in my very first week of playing (I started March 20).
