How are you managing your villager move ins?

I have done a few things to get villagers.
I bought a couple with NMT. I got Apple for 5 NMT (she’s no longer on my island) and Chèvre for 10NMT. That being said, it takes the fun out of island hopping. So I don’t do that anymore.

I used the campsite method to snatch Raymond because (a) he’s harder to find on islands, and (b) I’m not spending 1000 NMT+ on him!! That was a lot of grinding, but so worth it! Only time I did that!

I found other villagers like Diana and Fauna on mystery islands. A majority of my islanders I’ve found on mysteries.

Someone graciously offered me Carmen free of charge. I traded Dom for Goldie several weeks ago.

I TT quite a bit so I let villagers move out naturally

i have a few of my dreamies as amiibos but I don't want all of them them on my island rn bc I wanna get to know more villagers
having all my dreamies would make me feel like the game is finished already

I scanned some in via amiibo and found some and did the campsite trick for some at first. Now I realize some like Audie and Raymond aren’t that great. I let Audie go and went to the islands just to find someone I like and found Bones unexpectedly and moved him in. Then I moved Frobert out and let a random move in happen. It ended up being Dom. So going with the flow is kinda fun.

Aurora is not being replaced though.
