How are days counted for the town tree?

Since the town tree grows by days and hours, I'm wondering if it counts the days after the creation of your town, or if it counts the days you play. So, if you were to time travel 500 days into the future, and already had 500 hours somehow, would the town tree be fully grown, or would that only count as one day played?

I'm pretty certain it only counts the days that you play. My tree would be a lot bigger today if I didn't take a 3 month hiatus from the game.

It counts the days you play. So if you wanted to have a fully grown tree, you'd have to TT day by day for 500 days to get it.

Tbh, I took a hiatus from the game on and off, so I might do some TTing to catch up on the days.

i've tted past a year in my town and the tree is still what a 4-5 month tree would look like, im guessing it only counts how much you actually play but idk? [500 days is tedious to play bit by bit through and half of the trees i see are already fully grown so thts prob wrong]

It depends on how many days and hours you've played.

I've played over 500 hours, but less than 500 days so I don't have the fully grown tree yet. So when you meet both criteria, your tree will grow to the next stage.

Gotta TT in the future to catch up in getting to the 300 days & 300 hours stage.
