House Themes??

Trying to figure out how I want my house to look..

i wanna go for like, a dark academia mixed with cottagecore look

any furniture or flooring/wallpaper you guys think would fit?


what theme do you want your houses to have?

these walls/floors came to mind:

dark wooden-mosaic wall
dark-block flooring
dark-wood pattern flooring
dark herringbone flooring

my main characters house doesn’t really have a theme, it’s just a bunch of rooms that i like. one of my alt characters (juniper)’ house will be themed around the four seasons and nature. my second alt character (sage) will be themed around coping mechanisms and relaxation ;w;

Wood walls and floors work for the cottagecore vibe. The painted-wood sets are nice and cottage-like. Small and medium rugs put down can soften the floor. Lots of wood furniture, in browns and darker shades, lots of books, plants, etc.



I'm still in the process, and I think it'll take a LONG time to get my house finished. The only room I have finished is my right side room, which is a stillroom/nursery. That was simple enough with just a table and chair for writing notes, some saplings, seed bags, terrariums, etc. on log benches, and some wall candles.

As for the other rooms, I have a pink/white kitchen, blue-based craft room, yellow/white loft bedroom, and my main room will be a white/dark wood New England-style room. All of these are in various stages of completion. I don't have the basement yet, so I haven't started really pulling anything together on that, but I'd like to have it be a magic-oriented room. Some sort of outdoor-themed wall/floor to make it seem as though you went through a portal or something. I'll figure it out as I go.
