house plots and cycling

so i made a topic asking about this question before in the past and i think i just figured out the answer on my own, so i'm wondering if anyone else knew this, if there's a way around it, if anyone else experienced this, etc.
about like ...probably honestly over 3 months ago i lost tammy and i hadn't focused exactly on cycling to get her back so it just happened on it's own over time. i've been done cycling for her for a while now and now i had this chance recently to reset for an uchi (house plot wise) and i figured i'd try to reset them to get her back. but while i've been doing this for two days, so i've had plenty of time to realize this, i noticed not only is tammy never showing up on the house plots, but neither is any uchi i've ever had before that i've also technically cycled through. i asked before if you cycle for a villager then attempt to get them back by resetting house plots if it'd work / if their name would actually show up. and apparently it doesn't. because the odds are very very unusually against my favor, i've been resetting for two days now and not only tammy but no other uchi's ive had that i've cycled through will show up either. aka mira, fuchsia, frita, whoever else.
so i guess my question is is can anyone else verify that this has happened to them before and am i right on this. also, i have not tried the campsite reset specificially for this. so does anyone know before i try myself that if i reset the campsite that tammy could show up that way? reason being is my wifi is really picky on who it wants to connect to on acnl and i cant usually get to other peoples towns so just picking up tammy and getting her from someone else is not as easy of an option as i'd like it to be because of the error codes i constantly run into.

So to clarify you're trying to get the villager personality reset trick? That only works when you start a new map for the first 8 villagers, after that the villager is always the same just the house plot location is different.

Yes the campsite reset can theoretically work but the chance of you getting one villager is so low that imo it's never worth it. I would just buy the villager off someone and save yourself the hassle of all of this :3

ah i miss tammy and ive been cycling for her but..i take a long time and i only have 2 villagers cycled

uhh well i would think since the game forgot about her it shouldnt effect who moves in?? if you have been doing this for 2 days then yeah i think you might be right? but i dont really have any experience about this but i read a bit about cycling and plots and ive never heard of that?? im not too sure if you can get her back with campsite resets but even if you could it would take a really long time. most cyclers who cycle for their villagers back usually get them from other towns so idk if anyone else is in your situation?

yeah when i cycled for fauna i immediately got her back from a friends town, and i would just get tammy again from someone else easily if the error codes i ran into weren't such an issue to me. and yeah i was thinking i dont even Want to try campsite resetting for her because the chances are so incredibly low. >_< i guess it just doesn't work this way even if the villager is erased from your towns memory its set up so that they wont randomly lay down a house plot in your town ever again which sucks.

i guess ill keep this in mind once im done cycling. if you really want tammy back you could maybe try with getting tammy over wifi? what kind of error code are you getting? is it the one where you cant go to any towns at all or are you randomly disconnecting? if its the one where you cant go to any town at all i believe theres a way to fix that??

its the one where like ... i can get to some of my friends towns just fine without any disconnection problems at all for example but then for others i cant get there period, and they usually cant get to mine either. i've had to deal with this error code since i got the game in july last year so if you know of a fix that'd be great ~_~ !

okay yeah ive had that one before. it goes away for me when i save and quit? hm i mean if this only happens for a few people then i think if you tried the village trading plaza then you might be able to get her back? shes not popular but i do see her go around sometimes. but i do remember some threads about it and i think one on how to fix it but i cant find it but i found some people talking about it and i think they might be a bit helpful?
