House ideas?

Hi everyone, so I've been in a bit of a rut as to how to decorate one of my alternate character's houses. Currently I have a library, an hotel/resort themed house and finally a minimalistic traditional Japanese house.

Now the thing is my library and resort house have been coming along fine, but the Japanese house...just feels plain.
Super boring and like nothing's going on.

So I'd love to hear ideas other people have come up with for their houses. Or even any tips for Japanese themed houses in general

Turn the other room into a Restaurant like area (Tables) (Stove) (Salad Bar). Create a the floor tile yourself. Do you like Super Mario games if so you shall make a room dedicated to it since the game has items from the series. If your gonna make a supermario these room, I have several designs I did (Yoshi) (Mario) (Luigi) and (Coins that show up the game)

My house is like a mess things all over the place, don't know how I got a score of 7,000 there. lol. I don't know what to do with outside the house like where to position the trees at etc.

I have a cafe and a restaurant in both my other houses but I like the sound of a salad bar! Thanks for the suggestions!

I just visited a HHA home today and they had this really cool anthropologist/rainforest explorer theme in the basement. it's not a theme I've seen very often in this game.

not sure if that helps anything, but I thought I'd share anyways. x0D

My house is mostly fairytale or rustic themed furniture, but aside from that it is all just a random mix-up of things I think are cute whether they even match or not. xD Sorry I don't really have a way to help you!

I have a medieval themed tavern, futuristic-styled bedroom (space theme), a fairy-tale forest, fancy bathroom and a gaming room in my house.
Then my main room is like a modern living room.

Just some ideas. The medieval one was really hard to pull off.

The exotic set customized red and black with the autumn floor and wall looks amazing, use it for your japanese house. Also have an outdoor room, also maybe mix the boxing set with asian themes to make a sumo wrestling theme room.
