House Exterior Glitch Fixed?

I know a lot of us are aware of the villager exterior glitch that started a few months ago: where campers/amiibos would move in with the exterior of the previous slot’s villager if you skipped the day the plot was empty.

Has it been fixed now? I actually liked using the glitch to give my amiibos better looking exteriors. Just wanted to hear if anyone has used the glitch recently and what method they used!

i tried the going forward 2 days method and can confirm that's been fixed, haven't tried the going backwards method though

i tried the 2 days forward too and it didn’t work :/ that’s a shame!
