House/Building Exterior Options

Do you think we’ll be able to change the exterior of our houses in a later update?

Would you oppose being able to change the exterior of villager houses and other buildings?

How far would you like the customization options to go? What themes would you want to see?

I personally would love to be able to make a villager home an Camper. I have a little rural Neighborhood in a pine tree forest and I want to turn it into a trailer park. I’d also like modern options for buildings like the museum, RS, Nook’s Cranny and Able Sisters.

I’m not sure how likely it would be that I’d change the exterior of Able Sister’s and Nook’s Cranny, but I’d at least like to try it out.

i’d love for some more customization options to become available at some point - maybe something that would unlock with the return of lyle, lottie and/or digby? some of the current options are nice but they’re definitely lacking and i have a bit of a hard time finding an exterior design that i actually like with how little options there are.

i’d definitely love to change the exterior of other buildings such as RS and the airport but i wouldn’t want control over villager exteriors. i know some people are really wishing for the ability to redesign villager interiors and exteriors but i personally don’t want that. having complete control over the villagers would make them feel less real to me and would make me look at them as decorations of sorts rather than villagers that i share my island with. i believe in villagers being able to have whatever interior/exterior/clothes they want - they’re their own people and i don’t want to dictate their entire lives. i’m perfectly content with just having control over where their houses go ^_^

I can understand people wanting control over the interior of the villager houses if they are not original. I wish the game resets them when they move to another island to be completely original. All of my villagers will be gifted at some point, even the ones I'm cycling. But I always try to make sure that they are gifted with clothing or furniture that suits them and fits their taste. Like I would never gift Flora a muscle suit.

I would also like to be able to flip their furniture so it faces the right way. I've seen a photo where they gave Marshal a TV and it was placed facing the wall

i would love to be able to customize the exterior and the interior of my villager's house using the furniture i gifted or even paying to fit the theme of the island.
