Homestuck is a webcomic created by Andrew Hussie, with some collaboration from other artists. It is a very long comic, having been updated several times a day since April 13th, 2009. It is ending this year. Besides panels, there are animated panels, animated panels with music, flash animations, and dialogue. Lots of dialogue.

The basic plot, without spoilers, doesn't really justify the depth of plot. It's about four best friends who play a game which triggers the apocalypse and transports them to a sort of 'real life game environment. Quickly, things escalate.

While at times it can be very silly and stupid, it can also be very deep and dark, hopeful and lyrical. I would rate it PG-13, btw, for content, language, and violence. It's worth a chance, if you have the desire.

That's probably because the guy who made the thread labeled it as "Homosuck", heh.

I used to read it a lot, however I kind of lost interest after Cascade. Aradia and Mr. Mayo were my favorites.

I tried reading Homestuck, but I really just couldn't get into it. I know the beginning is pretty slow, and "it gets better", but it's too much for me to handle. If you can do it, more power to ya.

Hahaha, I hate the 'it gets better' about the first act. I liked the first act, and the type of humor doesn't change in the rest of the story. The plot gets deeper and broader, and there are more characters, sure. It wasn't slow in the rest of it, to be honest, if that's any help. Then again, I never found it terribly slow. I could read the first two acts in one evening.

To be honest, I gotta say, I hate the "it gets better" about the first act. I never got into Homestuck. I read the first two acts. I felt kind of underwhelmed, to be honest. I guess I was expecting more. I dunno. I used to hate on people who liked it, now I just...meh.

The last I heard of it was some drama that destroyed a popular pairing, the John and Dave one, if I remember correctly.

I'm only on act 3, I actually starter reading it about a year ago but I've been reading it veeeeery slowly. Usually I'll get into it and read a whole chunk of pages during the weekend and then lose interest and won't read it for months, and then I get back into it and the cycle starts again. I really need to get myself to read it regularly... I love Dave.

I've read all of it and I've been keeping up with it, but I wouldn't call myself a major uguu fan of it.
It's been pretty slow-moving up until some of the more recent updates in January.
Jade and Dave have been my favorite characters and I'm glad to see that they'll probably be more involved in the story again.
I tried to get my boyfriend into it, and for a little while he was pretty alright with it, but he got tired of it because the chat logs tend to be dry and pointless and they drag on forever. Half the time he wouldn't even bother to read them completely xD then the story wouldn't make any sense and I wouldn't be able to explain because I'm bad at explaining and didn't really understand what was happening anyway. So he gave up on it
