Hogwarts Castle house: Wall/Floor/Item Suggestions?

Yep, I'm embarking on making my second character's house the great castle of Hogwarts!
But before I do, I need some idea of items, wallpaper, and carpets that fit the themes for each room. If you have any suggestions for any of these, let me know!


Main floor, Castle Hall/Entrance: I think a plain, grey, stone-looking floor and wall would be best. The room will be outfitted with statues and paintings from Redd's shop.

Upstairs, dorm: Something cozy and homey-looking for the wall and floor, with four beds recolored for each of the houses. House emblems will be hung in patterns above them.

Main floor, left: Herbology Garden, or Care of Magical Creatures-themed room?

Main floor, back room: Room of Requirement as Dumbledore's Army's training room

Main floor, right room: Great Hall with house tables (have to be one space, and long); chairs for each of the teachers, benches for the students (Dumbledore gets a squashy armchair)

Basement: Snape's Potions classroom (already know I need cauldrons and a basement wall for this)

Basement wall is amazing to me. There are so many items that fit the HP theme. Get the owl clock too!

That sounds like an amazing idea! I actually StreetPassed someone with an HP classroom-themed room once, I thought it looked really cool. I'll take some screenshots for you, maybe you can get some ideas and inspiration from it. c:

Excellent ideas, guys- I'll definitely add the owl clock to my list of purchases!
And actually, a Transfiguration classroom sounds like it might be a better idea than the CoMC room. I was also considering making that room Dumbledore's office, but if I get a mannekin to wear the witch outfit and the proper spectacles, I could even put Professor McGonagall at the front of the room, haha!

Do you guys think the upstairs would be better as an dormitory, or as Trelawny's classroom?

Okay, I've just visited a specifically HP Dream Town and am feeling pretty bad about myself. XD

I'm going to try and make different rooms than this person did, because they did a fantastic job.

So here's what I'm thinking now, so as not to copy this person: I'm going to do other important scenes from the series.

Main Room will be the Great Hall.
Upstairs will be a community dorm, with beds and logos for each of the Houses.
The left will be the inside of Hagrid's cabin, with a dragon egg in front of the fire~
Going to keep the back room Dumbledore's Army's Room of Requirement...
Basement will be the Chamber of Secrets...

Any suggestions for the room on the right? I was thinking either Dumbledore's office, a Transfiguration classroom, the Forbidden Forest, or the Quidditch pitch.
