Hmm so quick question about the villager reset trick

Okie dokie, so I recently reset my town, and I got Genji to move in, but that makes him my sixth villager....Does the trick only work if you have 8-9 villagers?​

Pretty sure you can do this with a sixth and it should act like an 8th / 9th random villager, I don't think it's predetermined. Don't think it's ever been tested but I think I'm correct. It should work but I don't think you're going to pull Genji again if you reset once more.

Yeah, I don't think so
Hopefully, none of the villagers I want move in until I hit my 9th villager, it's much easier that way p.p
Thankfully, Genji plopped his house in the most favorable spot​

Yea, it's not predetermined as far as I know. The reset trick works on any day a villager might potentially move in, whether it's the 6th or the 9th.
