HHP recipe question[Solved]

Can you trade pillar recipes from HHP with another player who doesn't have the DLC?

Posted this same question while ago but never got an answer in the FAQ thread or from web.

it would depend on how you receive the recipe. If its automatically added to your nookphone, then you wouldn't be able to trade it. Maybe you could trade if its given to you as a recipe card.

No you can't. Firstly the Paradise island diys are added directly to your phone through Niko, so no DIY cards. And secondly, even if you managed to get diy cards of them through outside means(ie hacking), and had the other player learn them, it wouldn't matter. The game will not register them as being learned if the player hasn't accessed the dlc. The literal only legit way to get the dlc diys is to play the dlc yourself.

Oh I see so i'll have to buy the dlc. Well that sucks.
