I'm hoping I can post this here, but I didn't see where else to.
Hello, I got my first copy of Animal Crossing: New Leaf on New Years eve, so my first experience was the fireworks show, lol... so that was cool. I've never played an AC game before, and so far I'm enjoying it.
I first played on the save that was already on the cart, since I wanted to watch the fireworks, but also mess around in an older town to see what was up, even though it really wasn't that advanced. Even though the person who played that save did a lot of time traveling. I had to reset the clock back to the correct date, since it was all the way in June of 2019, just so I could see the fireworks, lol...
That being said, after deleting the save data I did set up for potential TT myself... and from what I've been reading some people look down on that kinda stuff, but when I get a new game I kinda obsess for the first few weeks then back off on the playing. Although I feel like I gave myself too much wiggle room with setting the year to 2017...
I'm still having to look up a ton of stuff on the net to know what's what in the game, but I like the map layout I have and the villagers aren't bad. Although, when I picked out my map I knew exactly where I was going to place a bridge and the very next day, well I was still living in a tent, a villager reserved a plot exactly where I was going to build it and then a week later someone moved directly across river from them... so... yeah... that is currently my biggest problem in my game, lol... I didn't have enough forethought and place tiles down to reserve the spots.
Anyways, I thought that signing up to a forum like this would be a good idea, because I feel like this game would be more fun playing with a community~ So I'm hoping to get to know some people, and if you have any advice for me I'll be happy to get it.
P.S.
Is it normal for villagers to switch, or copy catch phrases with others? A few of them have done that now and it is really catching me off guard...
