Henry has became a stalker..

So, i've been playing new leaf on&off for around 3/4 years now, and i've had Henry living in my town for the majority of the time I've played.

He's always been my favourite in Animal Crossing, however, i just can't seem to get 5 minutes away from him.

Whenever I'm walking around town, if I'm nearby he wants to talk to me whether it's to get him some fruit, change his greeting, his catchphrase or my nickname, he just always wants to chat. He asks me every other day to visit him, or if he can come round to mine.. I also get mail from him every 2/3 days.
Now, whenever I go into my house to move furniture/put things in storage, he shows up!

To be completely honest... It's becoming kinda annoying.

I really don't want him to move out because he's still my favourite, but does anyone know how to make him stop being so annoying??
Also, has anyone else ever had this, whether it's with Henry or anyone else?​

I feel you. I've had Marshal at my town for quite some time now as he's one of my original villagers. At first, he sent some cute letters to me but after a while it started to be a regular thing and I started growing tired of it. Now, like yours, he always invites me to his house and comes in uninvited to mine, which I think is hella annoying. I've tried giving him the silent treatment for about 2 weeks but he still won't stop. He has become a clingy villager to me. Now, I'm planning to move him out and get some fresh air

See, I've been kinda ignoring him, but I don't want him to move out because I absolutely love him. Just wish he'd give me a break haha! I just keep rejecting him any time he invites me over or asks to come to mine in hope that he backs off a little.
It's kinda weird though, he's worse than a clingy boyfriend haha!

Henry just moved out yesterday from my town.

I didn't know this clingy type of stuff happened though. What do you do to have it happen? I'd rather not get into this type of situation.

See, I didn't know it happened either. I also wasn't sure if it was just part of Henry's personality or what, like maybe he became over-friendly with the Mayor of every town he lived in? I'm kinda glad it's not just him.

To be completely honest, I wouldn't say I've spoke to him any more than I have other villagers. If I'm passing people while I'm out and about, I'll usually stop and say hello, or I'll pop in and see people if it's dark and their lights are on.
I'm thinking it's maybe cause he's been in my town the longest?? I'm unsure if he was one of my original villagers, if not, he's definitely been here the longest. I'm thinking that's maybe why.

Yeah I don't think it's just because of his personality because Henry was never like that with me. I mean, in real life there are some people who are so close that they can be seen around each other all the time, even as friends. Maybe the game is trying to create something like that?

Luck might be a factor, too. I know there's luck for both same sex and opposite sex friendship, maybe you're just really lucky.

I was quite surprised at first tbh. In a way, I'm glad it's Henry cause if it was any other of my other villagers I'd want them out the town.
He's been to visit my house twice today though, it's getting a bit much. I'm gonna just not speak to him at all for a week or two. Hopefully he backs off a bit.
