Help!

OK this is going to sound like a silly question. I have just bought myself a Switch, I started my island on a Switch lite, and have got a nice little set up. Is it possible as I'm now going to have to start all over again on the new console that I can visit my old island (as I still have my lite at the moment) and collect items from it? ie fruit, clothes, furniture) sorry if this has been asked before but I've been unable to find the answer.

If your intention is having two islands, I think you would be able to visit via local connection, without having to purchase another Nintendo Online membership, though I'm not 100% certain.
