Twice a day? Seems a bit excessive.

Two red roses diagonal.
It can take a while though.
You should check out the Hybrid guides.

You don't have to water flowers unless they turn brown.
It's best to water them, Because then they won't turn parched.

Here's what you do.
You plant two red roses diagonal from the other one.
Something like this:
ooooxooo
oooooxoo
with x - red rose
and o - empty space.
After you have planted your plot far away from trees, river edges, signs, etc., it's time to water.
It's best to water them every day, three times each day.
I recommend using the golden watering can because it boosts your chances of getting a hybrid.
Then you TT one day into the future.
Water you plot three times, and repeat.
Continue until you find a hybrid.
