Ok so when I entered gayles house I saw her sleeping then my screen flickered black for 3 seconds and then it went back to normal should I be worried? I don't want to lose any progress and I don't want to lose Gayle chadder Fang and stitches any advice?

Maybe it's your 3DS? I've heard of other people having this problem on (I think) the old 3DSs.

I have a 3dsl xL I'm afraid to exit and go back on because if it corrupts I have a lot of unorderables

Were you next to a magnet at all? If so, that's what might have made you see a black screen for a bit. That happens to me occasionally since my laptop has a magnetic clamp to close and so if I play with the 3ds right on top of that spot, it'll go into sleep mode and then go back when I take it off the magnet. If not though, then idk. Hopefully nothing's wrong since it was only for a few seconds.

Hmm well I'm using my brothers kindle and it was near it? Could that have possibly made it do that?

If it does it repeatedly and your game is a physical copy I would still try playing it in another 3DS to see if it's a problem with the game or the console. Hopefully everything is fine, it'd suck to have your town corrupt.

This happened to me once and it was very odd.. But nothing bad happened. It was several months ago and hasn't happened again.

Thanks that helped me worry less! I'm gonna quit then go back on

Try to charge it for two hours, and don't have it on while charging. It probably needs it's battery recharged. If it happens again, don't panic. You can either call Nintendo or go to Gamestop or Bestbuy, or any other store that can see what the problem is. Check if your SD card and Animal Crossing Game Cartridge is alright.

It happens to me sometimes. For me it's the 3DS, it's not Animal Crossing. I've had some issues closing the screen and not having it come back on when I reopen it as well. I think it's the connection of the screen to the console for me. No issues with the game at all though, so I think your dreamies will be safe
