I recently used a path that I saved from the kiosk, but decided I'd attempt making my own instead. When I used the path that I saved from the kiosk, using the construction app and putting the path on top of an existing in-game path, it had the same grassy effects around the edges as the in-game ones do, yet when I replaced the design with one I'd made myself, I didn't have the grassy edges around it. It just looked like a standard fully square custom design. Anyone know why it's not working the same way?? I'd really appreciate it.
Ah, that's actually pretty simple to explain. First: when you are making a pattern, the colour on the very right off the palette (the white with the grey stripes) is the option for transparent pixels.
If your pattern covers the entire canvas (the whole thing filled with colour) then it will cover your paths as a square. If it has even one bit of transparency, it will blend in with the grass.
Some people tend to hide single bits of transparency in their paths for that very reason!
Thanks for the replies guys! I just tried it and it was.. very bothersome. I tried to hide a bit of transparency in my path, but I guess I either didn't do a good enough job, or maybe the fact I know it's there is bugging me. I guess it's something I can play around with until I find something that works for me. :3
