Help with keeping villagers

So I'm about to start up the game again, and was wondering this:

if I open the game, play for a bit, then just shut off my ds without saving, and stop playing for weeks, will anyone have moved out? or is it safe to play and not save? or regardless of saving, if I play, do I have to play every day until someone asks to move out, say no, and then shut off my ds to be safe?

well, i usually check my villagers at least every 2 days to see if they want to move out. it’s not guaranteed that your villager will move out after a couple of weeks of not playing, but it’s likely.

If you don't play for a few weeks or longer, there is a chance villagers will move out well your gone. Your best bet is checking every so often to see if anyone is thinking of moving.

Saving doesn't help. It saves when you load up the game (I think).
You need to be dedicated.
Log on at least every 5 days and check no-one's leaving.
