Help w/ The Roost?

I'm pretty darn sure that I've gotten coffee at LEAST seven/eight/however many times it's supposed to take and Brewster still hasn't asked me about a part-time job... Any advice? I time travel occasionally, but that wouldn't have anything to do with it... Right? Sorry for my cluelessness.

It's supposed to be 7 coffees ordered and drunk, and I don't think TTing has something to do with it. I'd say keep going to The Roost everyday, you'll get it eventually ^^

Its 7 coffees, drunk on the stool or get a take away (think that is offered after the 3rd coffee you have drunk).
Brewster will tell you, you can work in the caf? from tomorrow onwards - then from the next day onwards he will allow you to work - you have to stand at the counter (on the right hand side, not by the stools, albeit I'm not certain its necessary for you to stand exactly there) and talk to him twice. The first time he won't mention working you have to press 'A a 2nd time.

I don't think there are any more requirements other than drinking 7 coffees.
But as previous games added in that the coffee had to be drunk hot - I made sure in this game to drink the coffee hot & as it was offered, I also made sure I had at least one take away coffee.
However I don't think these form part of the requirements. Its just 7 coffees.

Brewster will not offer work on any day when there is an event (even if it hasn't started or it has finished, includes fish/bug tourneys). The first week of October is considered Jacks week in prep for Halloween, you can't work in the caf? during the 1st week in October.

Just keep at it. If time traveling was the culprit, you'll get it eventually anyway.

I'm pretty sure that there are certain hours that you can get the job. I know that it wouldn't work for me unless I talked to him between 11am and 12pm. Also, if your town is in the first week of October he won't give you a job because its "Jack's week."
But then again I've heard of time travelers that could never get it to work.

Thank you! I'm not sure about the 11am to 12pm thing though. It's like 9:50am where I am right now and Brewster just offered me a job. :^)

I forgot, it is only within certain hours - the start is 11am, & I thought it went on to 11 pm (but I would need to check Liquefy on gamefaqs to be sure).
You can drink a coffee 24/7 but work only between 11am to 11pm??? whatever.

Yeah, sorry! You're right about the hours. I thought you were saying that he could only offer me the job between those hours.
