Help! Trying to prevent my dream villager from moving away

Hi everybody!

I just talked to Marshal and he said that Zucker was thinking of moving.
No matter how much I loiter around Zucker, he does not ping me with a notification that he is planning on moving.

What do I do to prevent him from moving?

Phew! After playing as alternate characters, he finally pinged me and I have convinced him not to leave!

This happened to me once. The villager that was planning to move told me the next day instead, and I could decline the request then.

I'm so happy I was able to stop him from moving!

It also works if you tt a few hours after.

Usually saving and quitting the game and loading it up again will initiate a ping. Otherwise, you can also hide from the character for about 5 mins and find them outside again. It's happened to me a few times as well although they usually ping right away.

Thanks for the tips guys! If I have to do this again (probably will for my dream villagers) I won't panic the second time around.

Not a problem. I freaked out when I heard rumours of Wolfgang moving. That was on Jingle Day so no villagers were pining at all and I didn't know what to do. hehe... But the next day he pinged me first thing.

This just happened to me with Bob, took me forever to get him to ping! D;
