So my cousin just started a fund because he has been taking out way too much in loans in order to pay for college and living while still working and is scared he might have to drop out...

Well you can never truly know what life will throw at you until you're in the middle of such a situation as this. Besides, there is no harm in asking, anyway. There are surely some kind hearted people out there who may have been in a similar situation before and might donate. And like I said, it doesn't hurt to be optimistic at times. You just have to do everything you can in such situations. Although, $20k is a lot of money. It's ridiculous how much these things cost... Sigh. But I guess that's how life is. I'm sorry to close this but you have to understand that posting on a public forum essentially asking for help to pay for college is... a bit silly. You can't really expect complete strangers online to donate to that! I'm sure there are many, many others on this forum which are experiencing the same struggles.
