So here are the town maps that I?m debating which one would be best for landscaping and such! Which one-

Map One - https://i.postimg.cc/NMcgQ0G2/E678-B408-CC42-4-FFB-80-C6-299-FA723-EFB9.jpg (town hall and retail are aligned but there is a pond right in front of the train station...)
Map Two - https://i.postimg.cc/hP6RSGp4/99-F5-A324-E4-EF-4-DB3-9-A7-F-3-C24-B0-C2-BA5-B.jpg (Two houses are already next to each other!! And I like the layout uwu)
Map Three - https://i.postimg.cc/SKQBdzKr/7-A886-F91-BE60-47-F1-80-C1-66-C7-FF3-A5-E2-B.jpg (Two houses are next to each other again!! But I don?t really have an idea for the layout...)

If you can help me choose which would be best and maybe help come up with a landscaping plan for them that would be absolutely perfect!!

Well, map 3 is ideal if you want to plant a ton of cedar trees. :3 But I really like map 1. If you end up breeding hybrids on the beach, it's just continuous shoreline. But since you don't like the pond in front of the train station (I wouldn't either lol), map 3 is what I'm leaning more towards then.

Map One all the way. It has a nice lake placement and the main shops are placed very well on the map.

Good points! Thanks for the suggestions!
But I’ll wait until I have more opinions!

I would definitely pick map 2. I really like how the river flows, and I think an interesting town could be designed from that kind of layout.

I agree, I love how the river flows as well but I’m still not sure which I should pick! Thankyou for the suggestion!

Are you set on picking one of these three, and not resetting for more options? It seems like you aren't completely happy with any of them, so it may be worth trying a while longer to get better choices.

Personally, I wouldn't choose any of them because I prefer not to have more than one pond, and also I like the town hall/plaza/Re-tail aligned more at the top. But if I had to choose one of these, I would choose number 2 because everything except the town hall is fairly close together.

I also like that the beach is all together and largely runs north to south as that makes it easier to see fish than a mostly south-facing beach, and I like that the waterfall is also south-facing, which I think is very pretty. Plus, you could take that long strip of land that the river curves around and make a nice straight path and align your building PWPs (The Roost, the police station, etc.) and maybe your players' houses along it - I think it would be almost like a second main street. Plus, since three of the houses are already almost-aligned, it would be easy to lay out paths there, too.

I second this. It's a good idea to remember these are not the only options.

I'm having a hard time choosing between one and two, but I think I prefer one just a bit more since the river in two is just kinda odd? I can understand why people would like that though. I do like the shop placements too as someone else has stated.

Yeah, I agree with Snowesque. The river being so curled-in on itself does look odd, and not the most aesthetically pleasing. I still think it's the best of the three and that you could make the narrow strip of land work, but it may not be ideal.

Hmmm...that's a tough choice.

I like the overall layout of map 1, but I prefer a south-facing waterfall and there's a villager already located in what I would consider the prime place to place a house (the upper left corner under the waterfall). But I think you could easily work around the pond below the train station by taking the path to the right towards the event plaza and to the left and down towards the river so it would go right between the Town Hall and Retail. Of course, that is assuming that you move out the villagers that are currently in the way there.

Map 2 is very interesting, but I admit that I don't have a lot of ideas for working with it. It would be the I'd be the least likely to choose. It also seems like it might feel cramped once you start building a lot, but maybe I'm wrong.

Map 3 is another one that I really like. I like the split beach and the south-facing waterfall. It feels like it'd be easy to lay a path between all the major buildings and areas and there's lots of room for development. Plus, I really like that little inlet created by the curve in the river and would probably place my house there.

In the end, I think it depends on what you want to do with your town, but I would probably choose Map 3 or Map 1 with my preference being Map 3.

Map Two is actually really nice! I picked it, and there is a whole lot of space to place projects and I have great ideas for landscaping!

Awesome! Good luck with your new town! I can't wait to see how it turns out.
