HELP! My house is too close to a pond!

So because Tom Nook is awful and won't let you move around your camera when you're placing your house, I've made my mayor's home with only ONE space between the edge and the pond, which means that I can't plant any trees or bushes there! I really love the layout of this map and the villagers I started with so I absolutely don't want to reset, but I don't know how to make it look cute with the pond right there. Anyone have any ideas?

While you can't move your house (unless you aren't opposed to hacking) but could I see some pictures of what we are looking at? I could probably help you out. I tend to have a bazillion ideas and the not ending up using them...

You could play it off as a pool by using QR code magic or something. That's the only thing I could think of without restarting/hacking

Tbh, if you really don't want to reset, I'm sure you'll eventually come to love your town. But if you really hate your house being there, then I would reset. No point in playing in a town you can't stand. Like I said, if you can't bear the thought of resetting, then don't.

Well, you could always plant flowers there. Maybe have the entire lake bordered by blue flowers?

Lean into it! Create a dual stump fishing pond to the south and some flowers or clovers to the north. You may not be able to plant bushes there, but you have the entire west side of that area to really make the landscaping shine.

I don't think it's that bad. I would do what others are saying, and make it your own little fishing pond. Some trees and flowers planted around it, a stump or bench to sit on, and I personally would put in a custom design sign with a cute fishing pattern on it.

Also, I don't know how much space you have around your house and pond, but if you have room, you could make a nice, big yard, and use stumps, flowers, bushes, or trees as a little fence going around it. You could even use cut bamboo as a fence with flowers between them.

I don't think it's bad at all actually! You can still plant two bushes on either side of the door (two spaces form the house) and circle it all over with flowers. Or if you want to be fancy, put lamp posts also three spaces from the house on either side, and build a path in front of it, like this:

I think that adding some trees around the pond would look nice and then add the amount of flowers that are in other places in your town. Or will be in your town.

I think some landscaping leading up would be good, kinda around the pond, I think it's workable.
