HELP! Moving question!

So in my main town I've got this rotten bird who refuses to move. Since I have so many dreamies I've been using the rumor method to find out if anyone is moving. But here is my dilemma :it's the fourth day and no one has pinged to move and none, absolutely none of my villagers has mentioned a rumor of any kind. Should I go to the next day? Or do I risk someone being in boxes at that point? WHAT DO?

Usually it takes four days for someone to decide to move.

Honestly? I would save/quit/restart until someone either pings or mentions a rumor. I took a chance on that and lost Sprinkle.

Someone on another similar thread has also mentioned going a day ahead and checking everyone in their houses on a new save (similar to plot resetting). But I don't know how well that would work, in theory it sounds good.
