So my boyfriend's childhood dream is to fly a plane. So my idea for his birthday (this weekend) is to buy him a flying lesson. It'll cost around $250 for one person. My question is, should I just buy it for him so he can go alone? Or should I buy it for the both of us so we can experience it together? I don't need the actual flying lesson, so I would just be there for the ride along. I don't know which would be the better experience for him. Another bit of info is that it's quite a drive away from where we live (over 1 hour). It might be a bit sad for him to drive back and forth just by himself, and if I went along with him on the car ride but not the flight, I would be stuck in the car the whole time since it's kind of in the middle of no where. But it would be quite expensive to buy 2 tickets. I can afford it though, so it's not that it's actually an issue. But I do like to save money if I can. But his experience is the priority. It might be something he'd want to do alone since it was his dream for basically his whole life or something best enjoyed with company. Just asking for any advice on this subject
