Help me decide! Does Megan get the boot or not?

Hi! So I'm having a lot of trouble deciding on this and I'd love some help.

I love Megan to bits, but I'd really, REALLY love to have Margie around. The issue is I already have 3 normals, and 4 would be pushing it. Maple and Bea are 100% staying, so my only candidate would be Megan. I adore her and she was one of my first few villagers, so there's 2 issues with that. 1. She's been around a while so I've gotten a bit attached to her, but.. 2. She has an ugly starter home, which totally kills the vibe for me. Also, I already have another bear in town, Ike!

So, that being said--Do I boot Megan for Margie?

I vote boot her. You clearly want a change of pace to try out a new villager. I would personally keep Megan because I have Margie’s amiibo..I think anyway. But if you really want someone, get them.

Megan ain't bad but it would be nice to have a new villager in town. You have 2 bears already and that fact that you're unsure just makes it seem like maybe it would be better to let her go.

The thing that would bug me the most is the dialogue being too common among each villager. I wouldn't go beyond 2 of the same personality types. And I got rid of my first 5 cause of that decor issue.

I'd vote trying to get her picture first then kicking her out. It won't sting as much kicking out someone you really like if you already have their picture with you.

Oh man... maybe? I appreciate the offer a lot but I wanted to island hop seeing villagers for fun and hoping I'd just bump into her. So for now it's a pass, but tempting!

3 normals in your town is really a lot! It seems like you're a bit bothered by her starter home, but also I think a change of pace doesn't hurt!

I vote keep her for now, because 4 normal types would be too repetative for me personally. But ultimately its your choice!

I'm gonna have 3 normals in my town, so I know your pain of having a bunch of them. I vote to boot Megan. I'm also a big Megan fan, she's my favorite new character behind Audie, but she's easier to get through trade than most new characters and plus I wouldn't be able to live with Starter Interiors.

In short; Have Margie stay at your island for awhile and depending on how you feel after awhile you can just kick her out and get Megan back again without too much difficulty if you're in the trading scene. If you keep Megan you'll never know if you would prefer Margie or not.

Also-- I should've mentioned this, but I'm gonna see if I can do this the campsite method way! I have both Maple's and Bea's amiibo cards, the only downside is that they'd get reset. The plus of this though is that I accidentally kind of destroyed their homes by giving them stuff, so this'd be a great opportunity. Their clothes would reset so I'd have to do all that but I can easily buy it all again. I have Maple's photo, but not Bea's, but I don't mind that.

How long have you liked/wanted Margie? Unless she’s an all time favorite or Dreamie you’ve planned on having all along, keep in mind that eventually she’ll not be “new” anymore either. That’s what I think about when I consider replacing villagers. Like, in the end they’re all fairly interchangeable, so it comes more down to the attachments I’ve formed. Starting villagers hold a whole different value to me, and I’d think twice about booting one out for somebody else. You can go through dozens of villagers, but you’ll only have starters once.

Oh, I had her for a while in my New Leaf town until she moved out (Margie no! ) I think she's really great. I have some history with her, so she's not a sudden want or anything like that haha. I've been thinking about her but struggled to find a spot for her in my town.

i vote boot her - while megan is adorable, you seem to like margie a bit more and besides, at least margie won’t have an ugly starter house ;w;

I would keep Megan because she doesn‘t have an amiibo card yet, but if you really want her badly, then you can boot Megan and give her to someone.
