I've been plot resetting for hours and Punchy still hasn't placed his house in the area by the pond yet. I know he won't be too close to the pond because I have another villager who is the same exact spaces away :'( If he were to move in that spot, Marshal lives 2 spaces away and Julian lives 5 spaces below

*sighs* I don't know if its because of the PWP I placed 2 spaces above his house or what. I tested it on the other villager houses and I could build them 2 spaces away just fine (their houses were already built btw). I'm really sad because he's a dream villager I got to replace my other dreamies whose houses weren't aligned. I hate myself for worrying about something silly like this XC

Is it possible for Punchy to move there, or is this plot resetting thing gonna be pointless?

I don't think it will be, no. :( It looks too close for a house to be able to get placed there

Thank you for posting :') I feel so stupid.. maybe I'll find another spot for him Q u Q

Yeah I don't think you will be able to place the house there. it's probably because of the lake/pond.

Aw, but my villagers Fang and Beau live so close to ponds and rivers :'( http://imgur.com/a/9ij4Q

hmm maybe Punchy refuses to place his house there or then it could be the pwp since you said your experiences before were the houses were already there when you placed the pwps down.

I was quite prepared to join in and agree with the "no" verdict ... but given the house placement in the top image of your second set, I think it might be possible. What is the PWP you are building in the back though? Perhaps that is the issue more than the pond.

I think it might be possible too, but I'm slowly starting to lose hope. The PWP I'm building is a streetlight. I usually use them when I plot reset. I don't think its the pond because when I plan where my villagers live I use the "Wisteria Trellis" PWP to test where my villagers can, and cannot live since both objects/ buildings have similar dimensions

Yes, it could be possible that it is because his house isn't already built like the others, but I hope that's not the case. I pray its just because he's stubborn ; n ;

I think there's at least one space between his house and the pond, right? So I don't think it would be a problem. I'm not too sure about the PWP thing either, but again, there's a ton of space.

Keep trying~!! I was able to plot Teddy near a pond (same thing as you are having), but with 2 spaces from the pond to his house. He also has a neighbour in front of his plot (about 2-3 blocks away), hopefully it works out for ya. :D

If Punchy still refuses to place his house down where you want it to, I suggest you turn off your ds if you haven't done so it can reset and he'll start placing his house plot in other locations.

Really? Thank you for the tip ; v ; Does powering down your 3DS have different outcomes than resetting?

No, there's 2 spaces from his house to the pond ^^ I made sure to leave 2 free spaces or more around the area for his house. I'm starting to regret putting the PWP there X'C

That's great! Hopefully I'll get Punchy to move in the area by the pond. Thank you for posting! I have a little more confidence now :3

No problem! I just recently learned that myself and it worked tremendously with all the house plotting I did for my second town though sadly I failed with Lolly or maybe I didn't put too much time with her, but it worked with the others and got them to place their house right where I wanted them to.

Um... the reason he is not moving there is because of the PWP. You need 2 spaces between a building and a PWP. The pon should not be an obstacle. :)

Omg! I just tested this and it totally works! Thank you~!! Even though he's still not in the spot I want yet, I find this tip extremely helpful ; U ; He's finally stopped putting his plot by mines lol.

I'm sorry Lolly's placement didn't work out :c but happy you were successful with all the others ^^ I hope Punchy will stop being stubborn before 6:00 am hits tomorrow :'0

There are 2 spaces between them ^^ I think when I placed the PWP it just made it harder for him to lay his plot because the space is so tight. There is room for a villager house :) I just don't know why he's not moving there

Heheheh, my Punchy is teasing me too. He's always 1 - 2 spots off. T^T

I know exactly how you feel lol. Why must Punchy be so difficult TT m TT I hope you plot reset him successfully ;D

I'm so tired of plot resetting =n= He still didn't move into the spot..

There should be enough room, but villagers are just stubborn sometimes. I'm plot resetting for Pekoe right now and its right in front of the river with a bench behind. She moved one spot away from where I needed her, but the rest of the time she's moved into my flower and orchards so it just takes alot of patience.

I think you should be able to place a house there.
In my town Drake is just one space away from the river.
Honestly it might be the PWP that's causing the trouble.

He can potentially move in there. I've had many villagers around my ponds and rivers, while near other houses at the same time. There's enough space for him there, but it might be a longshot for it to RNG into that spot.
