HELP!!!!!! I'm losing my mind with this pathway!!!!!!

My town NEEDS a pathway. I looked up a few cute ones online and scanned a qr code. I started making a path and half way through I realized it looked like ****. The corners weren't connecting and I found myself chopping down a **** ton of trees.

Does anyone have a path that they used that looks good in all seasons, has good corners and is pretty easy to lay down???? Also any tips and suggestions to laying a good pathway?!?
My hand is KILLING me from all the work I did and now half to undo....
