Help Grow Grass And Keep It From Dying... ?

I will tell you right now, the whole "use paths on the ground and only stay on those and it won't die" stuff is a load of crap. XP
One of the very first things I did in my town, was lay paths. Because I make my own so I don't nee to wait for the QR Code Machine.

I stay on paths... and it still dies... even in places where I NEVER even walk, let alone run. I know there are patches in the game that start out as dirt patches, but I'm not talking about the same places. And those places have gotten bigger.

--- If you run even ONCE in a day, does it still kill grass for that day even if you walk the rest of the time?
--- Does walking still kill grass?
--- Why does grass that is never walked or run on still die ((the areas that aren't starting dirt patches, btw))?
--- Does OTHER people running in your town kill it or is it just your characters?
--- Is there any way to "re-grow" the grass without just TTing until it is restored? i.e. flowers, trees, beautiful town ordinance, perfect town rating.
------- Since I know that will bring it back. I have a cycle town. I know how that works. XP

You can plant flowers on dirt patches and water them everyday and it'll grow back faster.

• Running once in a day does not kill grass. It has to be consistent.
• Walking still kills grass.
• Villagers kill grass.
• Other people running in your town kills grass.
• Flowers restore grass, though, I find it to be absolutely tiresome.

1. Yes, running once in a day can kill grass.
2. Yes, walking kills grass—if you see little puffs of dirt coming up, you're killing grass.
3. You aren't walking on it but your villagers are.
4. Yes, other people walking and running in your town are killing the grass too.
5. Some people say flowers. I find bushes and trees work faster and more effectively.

... well, I suppose I need to get my golden watering can back from my cycle town and just let it use the silver one. >.>
