Help: Glitches in the Game.. Will is crash?

Help! I began to notice glitches in my game recently, if I leave it on for long periods of time.

1) Mail box keeps flashing even though I just took out the mail.
2) I tried to talk to Mint once, and she completely ignored me. Didn't even respond with the usually "what's up".
3) I was running towards some flowers, and slowed down to a walk right before. Usually that works, but it just kept running through my flowers.

Has this happen to any of you?
Are these warning signs that my game will crash?
What should i do?

1) this is probably caused by the wires on the back of a cartridge being damaged
2) same as before
3) your 3ds joystick may be faulty

the game may freeze up occasionally if it loses connection badly enough, but nothing too serious should come of it. you should probably think of investing in a new game.

if this is a downloaded version, your sd card has the problems.

your town will be fine. it won't affect saved data. have a look at the wires at the back. if any are misshapen or bent, lightly push against them into the correct shape. if any wires are sticking out from the lowered parts, push them in gently. this should stop making the game freeze or black screen.

your game has to stay on your current cartridge, but you can move a second character and all of their items onto a new cartridge.

Assuming your town is a physical version, there's a free app in Nintendo Eshop where you can transfer a physical version of a game onto a downloadable version of the same game. Just get yourself a downloadable copy of AC:NL and get the free transfer content. If you just serch for "transfer save data" it should come up

it depends what copy of the game you have
digital download- sd card
physical- cartridge
