If you didn't save yet, just turn off you DS and go back to the game. Her answer could be different. :)

well, i have 4 profiles... i used the second one and she pinged me,, while in my main one, where i am closer to her, she didnt even pinged ;-; Please helpppp TT^TT

I might be thinking of AC:WW so apologies if so, but I'm sure I've had this happen numerous times where a villager insists they're going to move still even after I ask them to stay. I load another char (I always play with 4), and one of them will always get the villager to relent. It can take maybe 6 tries, cycling through my chars. But I've never had this method fail.

Whether it helped or not, I also wrote letters to the villager from each char. With a good present, not junk or a seashell (yes, I'm often a very cheap player). And once I got them to confirm they're staying, I take care to interact more with them and keep them happy.

Thank you so much for this... so u managed to changed a moving villager's mind? she won't even PING the other chars :((

I told a villager they could move once, then changed my mind a few days before the move. I kept talking to them on all of my character until they mentioned how much stuff they were gonna have to pack and how much they're gonna miss my town and it gave me the option to ask them to stay again. They didn't ping for those convos I just kept talking to them until they brought it up.

^ Seconding what Snowfell said, I'd forgotten how often I've done that lol. I usually always veto a move nowadays as I used to say they leave then *always* change my mind within minutes.. easier for me to just keep them until I accidentally lose them!

I go up and talk to the villager, then go wait for 5 mins of so in a corner of town, then see if they ping me. If not, try again. After about 3 cycles of this, I save and switch character. If the villager is persistent about wanting to move, I step up the letters etc. At least 2 a day per char. I do the entire cycle every day leading up to the move. I think in WW I had someone change their mind the day before their move, but don'tthink it's been cut that close (yet) in NL.

In WW it was easier as you could wave to villagers and get more involved withtheir conversations with other villagers. But talking talking talking and sending letters have done the trick for me so far.

I really can't recall how often I've "saved" a villager in NL, but I know I've done it.

if you love her let her go. just thought this link could help you understand it better. apparently if they've been thinking about it for a few days already, they will move on their own, even if you say no. the above comments will help you keep her from moving. good luck.

I'm not sure that applies to New Leaf, since villagers on this game always take exactly 5 days to move out and one day to pack up whereas that article says it could take a villager a week to move out and a few days to pack up and leave. In my experience, every time a villager has pinged me about leaving and I told them to stay, they have always stayed.

Same. I didn't even know it was possible for them to refuse to stay :/ But I know it's possible to convince them to stay even after they've agreed to move (as long as they're not in boxes), so it looks like that's what OP will have to do...

Seriously they can insist on leaving?! Bah! I'll have to look out for that and battle them!

Perhaps OP made a mistake without realizing? I'm fairly certain it's not possible for a villager to insist on leaving in New Leaf after you tell them to stay.

it is possible actually I've had it happen to me multiple times I was offended HAHA but that only happened when they asked me for a second time for an opinion

yepp its possible :-( AHAHAH yesss and what they say after you convince them to stay but when they insist to leave is pretty offensive lol TT^TT

Gayle said something like "i don't want anymore to do with this town and its people"

DAMNNN------ </3

Keep talking Gaye until she mentions leaving again. I think it might give you the choice to say stay again maybe?

Wow, that has never happened to me, but like the above mentioned, it is possible to change their mind. You can talk to them with multiple players and keep checking in until they bring up the move again.
