Having you given a villager something by mistake?

I accidentally gave one of my villagers a kitchen counter which was pretty expensive (my mistake) instead of a different gift I wanted to share! This isn’t the first time I’ve done this, once I accidentally gave a tye dye shirt to Alfonso instead of a a different shirt, which totally clashes with his colours but he LOVES wearing it all the time. I still find this cute and funny though. Has this ever happened to any of you? Share your stories!

Yes! I gave a shirt/dress/something I didn't want to give to Avery completely by mistake, so before ending the conversation or seeing the autosave I just force quit my game... an it WORKED! I was sooooooo anxious the whole time thinking about how I had messed up, but I was quick enough to undo my mistake.

another time i meant to give rosie a pink fairy dress but i gave it to judy, luckily judy looked super cute in it and wears it often with the tiara i gave her ♡

But see, it was mixed in with other presents, so I grabbed it and gave it Biff, the jock hippo.

He LOVES it and won't get rid of it. Everyone picture Biff in the virgin killer sweater.

I accidentally gave Muffy a hula doll from Gulliver, and this was when I was fairly new and didn't really know any better. Now she always has it on display in her dark themed house. Lesson learned to think twice before giving villagers something.

I was deep into giving gifts to my villagers for their photos and I was freaking out that I was missing the chessboard that I just bought. Was forced to get more money from my ABD and then reorder it. Gave Diana a gift, BOOM. It was the chessboard -_-

In another instance, I accidentally gave Phoebe a freezer instead of her wrapped fruit. I'm so dumb

I'm so scatterbrained I gifted Bluebear three accessory stands back when she lived on my island. You'd think by the second one I would remember she had one but no. She took it like a champ though. Displayed all three of them in her house. Maybe she did it to make sure I didn't give her any more of them.​

I thought I gave a villager a stack of fruit, but I’m glad it was just one. Once I accidentally did give the wrong color to a villager, but it’s alright.

I was talking to my sister in real life and was distracted so I ended up giving Blanche an instant muscles suit she wore it for a while but now it hangs on a wall in her house...

I may have given either Bill or Julian furniture by mistake this morning. It was 7am, I wasn't awake by any means, I crafted Iron Wall Lamps for the three villagers I haven't gotten pictures for yet: Kabuki, Bill and Julian. I wrap 2 in wrapping paper and head out to go find them. By the time I'm looking for Kabuki, I've already given Julian and Bill their gifts. I go to wrap Kabuki's lamp and find that I have another lamp unwrapped. That's where I had the "Oh crap" moment. I hold the R button to speed through text so I didn't see what I gave them. Guess I'll find out tomorrow morning.

I just hope I crafted another lamp by accident...
