Haven't seen a single rainbow stag. :(

I am having the opposite problem. I have seen/caught quite a few rainbow stag but have yet to see a single Goliath.

To be fair, I haven't seen a Goliath beetle since that time that I caught it.
I also caught one in the first few days of June and saw it spawn several times then... nothing since.
Seems a bit weird to me.

You should go to the mystery island. That's how I found the rainbow stag. what i suggest you do is also bring a ton of fruit trees with you, so they have a higher chance to spawn.

The thing is 2 days ago I was on mystery Islands looking for villagers. I spent a long time there harvesting resources but still didn't come across one which was the puzzling thing.

Did you get rid of the flowers because the spawn the stink bugs and also chop down the palm trees? Also since there are water bugs it may affect the chance of it spawning. I, also forgot to mention that I had to scare other bugs away and spent an hour on the island to find it. However, it may just be luck.

I didn't bother hunting the rainbow stag on my own island, I just went to a Nook Miles Island since I figured it would be way quicker. It was, since I lucked into a bamboo island, so I was able to just remove all the bamboo trees, rocks and flowers and then just run around until it (and the goliath beetle) spawned on one of the palm trees.

Nah, they appear on any type of tree.

At quick glance they could be mistaken for golden stag, but they spawn in july.

I went island hopping today to find a new villager and saw lots of rainbow stags. They were all spawned on regular trees and coconut trees. After I caught one, another one would spawn.

I cannot find any of the june bugs for the life of me. I think they hate me.

Having a hard time with this bug too. Also Goliath beetle. Saw like 3 times but not quick enough to catch.

They're both quite rare, just keep looking. Keep in mind it might be better to just look for them next month along with the ton of other bugs that also show up in July. Right now, the fireflies take up a lot of the bug spawns at night which makes the rare bugs even more rare than they should be.

I thought the rainbow stag only spawns in June though?
If not then I'm not too worried.

No, it stays until September, so you have a few months.

I've spotted three rainbow stags so far. Managed to scare away all three. T-T Saw one goliath beetle too which I also managed to scare away.
