I know it‘s only been 6 weeks since the game came out but my island is complete and i’m getting bored while playing because there isn’t much to do, just curious if anyone else has been thinking about resetting or have restarted their island

Resetting never crossed my mind and don't think it will. I've been holding off terraforming my island and been mainly filling my catalog with the complete furniture, wallpaper, flooring, rugs and clothes. Once I complete it, then will I start terraforming. I feel like the game offers enough that I'm not getting bored because there is always something to do

I'm right there with you. The only thing I truly wanted in a map was two south river exits, and I got it. I thought I didn't want a blue airport or pears, but I ended up with both. In an effort to not tempt fate, I kept what the game gave me.

I have terraformed the heck out of my island, and I'm not sorry for any of the decisions I made.

Yep. I restarted my island and just finished catching up to present time. I am so much happier with it! I'm not quite sure what was bothering me about my old one, but I just love my new one. I do kinda miss Katt. When I get Flo to move out, I might move Katt back in.

I reset once 2 days after release! Even though I had gotten practically everything I wanted (green airport, red native fruit, south south river exits) I didn't like how close my airport was to Resident Services and knew it would bother me. Very happy I made the decision to reset early on! Got my perfect island and have been happy ever since :)

i haven't reset and i don't really see myself doing so. i think it's perfectly fine to, but i like having to solve tough creative problems, so i'm usually not too picky about things whenever i start a new game (i was like this in new leaf too- i didn't care so much about rivers, native fruit, rock placement, etc.).

i don't really get bothered about stuff and if i don't like something, i either find a way to make it better (for example, my native flowers are pansies, which are my least favorite flower, but i've since gotten rid of all of them and populated my island w the flowers i like) or just move on bc it doesn't matter too much (my airport is orange, which is my least favorite color, but who ever focuses on the airport color when they visit at all? i don't even process the color of my airport in my own island, and i can't tell you the airport color of any island i've visited recently, so it doesn't matter!).

I haven't reset and I don't think I ever will.
I terraformed my entire island to a flat surface and rebuilt it from the ground up and I'm still not quite finished. Just more focused on cataloging a lot of things while waiting for updates to come :)

I technically reset my first island a few minutes into it because, for some reason, when inputting the island name, it added a space to the end. RIP to my true first villagers, Shari and Bam, and to the island known as "The Shire ."

But I really didn't plan to reset that island, I don't plan to reset this one. I've already put too much time into it, and I personally don't find it fun to hunt for a "perfect" island. I'm happy taking things at a slow pace and working around any layout problems I run into. And layout problems are infinitely less of a problem than in the previous games.
