I moved it once...because keeping the limited plot options from the very beginning of the game would be awful.
Might move it a second time, though. I'm in the process of changing my entire island right now...

Technically I moved my house twice, but I don't want to count placing it on the beach...so I could move it literally three tiles away from the original placement.

I haven't moved my main player character's house yet, but I intend to. I'm trying to decide between two specific spots; basically, whether to put it where I had originally been planning to have it, or move Tucker's house over to that spot and then put my house where Tucker's used to be. Either way, we're going to be neighbors. I really like the spot I had originally planned out since it has a nice view and is close to the beach, but I think Tucker's house being there might make more sense since the town's theme is world history and cultures and it would flow a bit better chronologically. Hopefully I can come to a decision soon though, I really want to get my house out of that area so I can spread out my shops more.

I plopped my house beside a small pond and I’m pretty happy with the potential space I can use for it. Plus, it’ll be convenience for me to catch pond fish whenever I feel like catching one. I have a screenshot of my placement when my house was still a tent back then.

At this point I haven't, but I plan on moving it eventually. Not sure where it will go just yet, but I have a few ideas.
The first spot I chose, by the river, was good for a while but I eventually deleted that part of the river and moved my house elsewhere.
At the start I thought I was going to keep it but with so little choice in the early game, and so many options later on with the terraforming, there are just too many better spots to take than the first one.

Bikes are a great idea though, especially if we could hop them over rivers. We could set up obstacle courses on our islands, and invite others to race. They'd be great for getting around dream islands, too. And great for massive property destruction on those dream islands, if you're into that. (it's okay, anything you do on a dream island won't harm the real island).
It would be neat if you could use your construction permits on a dream island. Then you could have a dream of your own island, and test radical remodels out with out the risk of permanently messing up your island.
Yes so many times... at first it was on this little area that jutted out to the right of resident services. Then I moved it so it was elevated in that area. Then I realized I didn't have enough inclines so I moved it to the beach while I debated where to put it.
Now its in a little nook behind resident services and I think I'm happy for now haha

i’ve moved it twice. i originally had it squished in a corner near a pond but then moved it over to where my park now is but didn’t like how limited that would make my backyard and so i moved it up on a cliff so that i had an entire section to decorate according to my house and what i wanted and this will likely remain my house’s permanent location aha

Before my house there is a grass area and in front of that is the beach. I've always been like once I unlock terraforming I will move it up to the cliffs ( because I have visited some lovely islands on here where everyone's house is on the cliffs) but I'm like nah I can't be bothered having to run up and down to get to my home haha
