Have you guys had any luck with villager pictures?

I've gotten a few pictures, but I don't understand how you get multiple. How do you get multiple copies of villager pictures?! I'd love to know.

I have received pics from four villagers: Ricky, Flurry, Teddy, and Deli (in that order). Ricky and Flurry each gave me two pics.

The first picture I definitely was trying for (I reset after doing very special tasks for Ricky, Flurry, and Deli--Teddy just gave me his picture without my having to reset). The second pics from Ricky and Flurry were unexpected, but happened very close to the time they first gave me their picture, so I guess my friendship level was still maximized.

I only have Static's picture for far, after filling in a petition for him.
Its great because he was the first villager to give me a photo in Wild World and first in New Leaf!

I have a few pictures now but it took a while, longer then I remember in WW anyway. My first picture I got was from Tammy (I wasn't really trying to get her pic but I had sent her a few letters and completed every request she gave me). Second one I got was from Anchovy, that was also a surprise but I was glad since I think he is becoming my favorite villager ever!). I have also had two villagers give me their pics once they had moved away (Sprinkles and Kitt).
Now if I could just get Apollo, Cheif, and Lolly's pic...
Apollo was one of the first villagers to move into my town and I have sent him countless letters with/without presents and completed every request he has given me and he just won't give me his picture. It's driving me nuts.

I have gotten a few extra pics from villagers. In my experience it has just been the same as getting their pic the first time around (complete request and receive it as a thank-you gift) I didn't do anything special, it just happened. I have also received a second pic from villagers who have already given me theirs but then moved away and given me a second one as an attachment to their 'goodbye' letter. Hope this answers you're question!

Not yet I think I could have got Carolines picture yesterday as she asked for a Tarantula (they normally give them to you if you have to catch a rare bug/fish for them) but I couldn't find any.

I have Colton, Mott and Mitzi's pictures. Colton gave me two of him xD We are very chummy! Mitzi gave me hers when she moved though :c

Robin surprised me with her pic for doing a chore for her the other day. Surprised me a bit, since she's one of the villagers I speak less to.

I just got a picture from Jay after giving him fruit. He's one of the first people I talked to when I moved in, so I'm not shocked. But I rarely fail him and always accept a request.
I want a picture from Peanut, Phoebe, Tipper, and Maple before anyone else..
