Have you got a villager out of nostalgia?

For example, I had Caroline in my town in Wild World and I decided to pick her in my town in New Leaf out of nostalgia.

So, I got Pierce, Pompom and moved Mint from another town to Joyville since she lived in the same town as Caroline, Pierce and Pompom.

Yeah -I loooved Roald in WW, so I got him in NL, but turns out it's not the same. I ended up not liking him as much as I did before and let him move out eventually.

In my New Leaf town, I have Bob, Tangy and Mitzi because they were my starter villagers in my very first GCN town and I have a lot of nostalgia for them plus they are some of my favourites (especially Bob, as he's my favourite character which you may already know at this point). I also have Rosie, Alfonso and Whitney in my New Leaf town (I also have Rosie in my second GCN town, at one point I even had Alfonso but I replaced him with Punchy) since they were in the movie which I have a lot of nostalgia for even though I only knew about the movie since August 2016 and first watched it in December 2016.

I had a few of my WW villagers in my first ever town, Kenka... Dizzy, Maple, Maelle, Bluebear, Apollo... but only kept Dizzy and Maple, although before I reset Kenka I did lose Maple due to not playing and checking. I did want to keep them all though, but I wanted to make room for new villagers and Dizzy and Maple absolutely had to stay, so the rest had to let go. :<

I got Caroline, Aurora and Dizzy because they were my favorites in WW but unfortunately I found out I don't like them as much as I used to! I also got Stitches because he lived in my brother's town in WW. I don't remember liking him back then but I do now.

I had Patty in my town for quite a while because I had her in my first City Folk town. I loved her there and she moved out tragically. Having her on New Lead was fun, but maybe not the same... I let her move out, but I have her card in case I want her back.

Oh, and I also have Cookie in my town now! I got her because I had her in City Folk and I loved her, and I'm so glad she's in Startown now!

I've almost gotten villagers I had in older games just because they were familiar. Like Biskit, Savannah, Daisy, Mint, and Maple. I don't even remember which games I had them in because I had stopped playing about a year or two before New Leaf came out in order to trade my DS, Wii, and games for PS3 games.

But I have ended up not searching for those oldies but cuties, because I've fallen in love with new villagers (newer to me anyways lol). I only have one nostalgic villager in my town and that's Cube, but he was already there when I first started New Leaf last year. I recognized him from the Game Cube version, and kind of realized that Cube was my ultimate dreamie. I had him in the GC game, which holds many happy memories for me, so I've kept him since.

I guess you could say technically I've got Bob, Tangy (I don't have her yet... she's on my dreamie list), and Ankha (all present in my original GC town - Ankha on the island obviously) due to nostalgia, since that's where I originally had them. But I don't feel nostalgia at all for the Gamecube game or Wild World. I got bored of those games VERY quickly, like in only maybe 2 weeks. New Leaf is the first AC game I've really liked.

I just liked their designs really.

Pinky's first day in New Leaf

Pinky was my favorite villager in AC Gamecube so I was looking to get her in my New Leaf town.Kiki was another one of my Gamecube villagers so I got her as well.

Most def. I got a card for Sally (named Hazel back in her GCN days) and Roald. I spent soo many days playing Animal Crossing GCN and I'm half-tempted to get a card for Bangle as she was in my GCN town as well.

Bob was my very first friend in AC Gamecube, so I had to have him; and I had Lucky for just one night in the Gamecube (he was immediately kicked out bc I found him *after* I had train travelled over from my other town) so I was super happy to have him as a permanent resident after all these years. I'm always happy to run into my other old townies but I haven't felt the need to get any others as residents. If they'd put Twirp in WA tho I'd have brought him in immediately.

I used to have Biskit in WW when I was a child, and even though I didn't really care much prior to playing NL, when Biskit was one of my starting villagers I was ecstatic. I'm weak for lazy villagers in general, and super happy to get one I already know. c':

I actually did, but not on purpose!!
My first AC game was Wild World, and I had Cyrano as my fave villager. CREEPILY ENOUGH he was one of my starter villagers in ACNL as well... I actually still have him cuz he's just too full of memories to let go ;w; Even tho my town is themed around cats / pastel villagers haha.

Peanut was my favorite in WW and Punchy was my favorite in CF, so I got both of them in NL. I love them so much!

I got very lucky in ACNL when I started on the release date. Lolly and Teddy greeted me at the train station.
Very excited to find them after picking a map I liked. Bonus got perfect apples.

My son loved Teddy back in the day. Visited his ACNL town and he had Teddy living in his town. It was funny getting a petition from Teddy signed by another Teddy.

Goldie has always been my favorite so I'd really like to have her in my town, even if it's for a little bit. I probably wouldn't keep her over all my dreamies but who knows.

I don't know if this really counts, since New Leaf was my first Animal Crossing experience. However, when I first started my town, Drago was one of the first five villagers I got. After a few months of playing, I had to take an unplanned hiatus from Animal Crossing to travel, and while on a plane ride, I picked it up again only to find that Drago had moved away. And I hadn't been aware villagers would ever move, so this came as a seriously unpleasant shock.

Fast forward to almost three years later; Drago is back in Wishfall. I simply couldn't find another Lazy villager that I liked even half as much.

I never played any animal crossing games before this one, but I have adopted villagers based on people they remind me of. For instance I've had a Panda before, i don't remember if it was the bug one or small one... but I got him because he reminded me of my friend who passed away...=[
