Have you ever seen a villager get on/off a bench?

We know that villagers sometimes sit on benches (and we love it when they do!) but have you ever seen a villager get on or off one?

Ive seen beau sitting on one of the benches and he was actually dozing off on the bench. He was cute like that

I haven't personally. I wonder if a villager will stay on the bench into the early hours of the morning if you just stand by them xD. I guess if they don't get off benches in your presence then when 6AM comes they'll be teleported back into their house.

For the last 20 minutes I've placed my mayor in front of one of my villagers on a bench. I'm guessing she's not programmed to move when my mayor is in the same frame :/

Yea never actually seen them walking to, or getting on and getting off the bench xD. I guess it works like how bugs and fishes spawn... Not saying that my villagers are bugs/fish.. Lol. Haha. It is cute when they are dozing off on benches.. Oh and tree stumps c: they're adorable lol

I've actually never thought of this... but interesting! I've never seen one get on or off either...

Just like when they're fishing. I've never actually seen them cast their line, or pull it up. I'll walk out of frame to go do something and come back to find them fishing. Once Chevre was standing with her rod in front of a pond like she was going to go fishing, but I was on a bench nearby with Henry, she stayed in the same spot staring at the pond for as long as I was on the bench. As soon as I got up and walked out of frame for a bit and back again, she was finally fishing.

Actually, I have seen them getting on and I think I have also seen them getting off a bench.

I've never seen them get on or off the slopes. It's interesting though that you can push them up when they are on the beach. When I tested this on Gulliver the game blocked the path to the slope. Maybe they just jump from the cliffs like Crouque told my mayor once.

I'm sure they randomly appear on the bench when you're not looking!
During my little adventure to get PWPs, I dug holes around each villager to keep them in place...Sometimes! That'd work, but other times, I'd notice a villager was missing. The holes still in the ground...BUT THEN! It'd turn out they were sitting on a bench. I wonder if they have to be close enough to the bench for this event to take place or what.

Pretty sure our villagers are granted with this mysterious transportation powers, especially considering I've seen both Mira and Marshal on my hidden beach - one that can't be accessed without a wet suit.
