Have you ever regretted resetting?

I recently reset the town that I'd had since the release date because I didn't plot reset so all of my villagers were in crappy places and my map sucked. Not only that, I'd built everything that I wanted to build in that town and it felt... idk... done. THAT BEING SAID, YES. I REGRETTED IT SO MUCH!!! Even when I found the perfect map.

Until I booted up my game the second day to realize that Nate (MY FAV VILLAGER SINCE GC [hearteyes]) moved in. So now I have the perfect map and my favorite villager, so I don't regret it anymore c:

I regret resetting because my last map had apples as a native fruit and a better map.

I did not care for any of my villagers (maybe 1 or 2), did not like my campsite placement, and I had big issues with my villager house locations. That is why I reset.

There are 5 things holding me back from resetting:
- I really like my villagers & dont want to lose them
- I have unlocked so much already (police station, lighthouse, other PWP, main street shops) and it will suck to re-obtain them
- I dont to recollect all the bugs, insects, fossils, and art
- I dont want to lose all the stuff ive been planning on putting in my house (I could have someone store, but still ._.)
- I dont want to TT so much (which I know I will do because I want to catch up)

I know in a few months I will get bored and want to reset buuut I wont. New games coming out this year that I will get. So If I still feel like starting up a
new town I'll just buy a new used game =]

I regret resetting my Wild World town so much. I won't make the same mistake again though. If I decide that I really want a new town in New Leaf I will buy another game.

I reset my first Animal Crossing town on the second day that I had it because I didnt like the map, I hated my characters eyes, I chose a terrible place to build my house, and I ate my perfect apple..
I spent a few hours regretting it before making my current town which I like WAY more.

There's some towns in Wild World that I've regretted resetting:
-Beach-Remember the one I found outside at school? We didn't have it for long, but I really liked it.
-Brazil-The used game. I pretty much deleted it just because we were getting City Folk, which I regretted because it was pretty much just the same as WW. I almost cried while it was deleting. :(
-The other town Beach that we had with Zeke, Izzy, and Madison(our Buck, Pate, and Pudge town)because I really liked it and Pudge became my favorite WW villager!
New Leaf:
-My first Cypress. I don't completely regret it, though, because I just chose the first layout Rover showed me, which was terrible for my plans. My villager plans became really out-of-hand as well. I really like my new Cypress because it has everything that I want(except for my Dreamies, but I'll obtain them eventually), so I hope I won't have to restart again any time soon! :)

I regret getting rid of all my dreamies when I reset my town of Yoitsu.. it's just that the map would have been IMPOSSIBLE to landscape. Villagers were in bad locations and it was just not good. I'm still sad I lost all of them.

When I reset my first town.

On my first solo town I had no clue what I was doing, except I was having fun. I placed all my PWP's together, couldn't grow a hybrid to save my life, sold my perfect cherry, etc.. :P I decided to reset. I forgot that I had most of my DLC and Sahara carpets, NIS items on one of my second characters. I did not transfer the items to my daughter's town to hold and I wiped it all away.

I also never appreciated the villagers I had, tbh I was dealt quite a good hand with the upper tier villagers. I've decided that I won't reset again. I am however rebuilding my main town and that challenge is enough for me :)

This was my situation exactly. If I had just kept my town layout and worked around it, it would have been great. I haven't been able to find that town layout since honestly. I also never transferred my items and money so I lost a lot of unorderable DLC.

I sort of regretted resetting my first ever GC town, I much preferred my new three tier town with an awesome layout and villagers but it's hard to get back the feeling of your first town, imo.
