when you move a player-character to a new town, from what i've read, it has to be a non-mayor character, and when they move it has to be to a new cartridge and they become that town's mayor, right?

i assume the moving character keeps their house, bells and possessions.

what about their badges?? and their encyclopedia??

I'm pretty sure it keeps everything. I wanted to do this with Fox for my 2nd town but with all my map resetting it's likely I would've ended up losing him.

Hey I have a noob question. If I moved Diana into a new town when I put her in boxes is she in my 16 cycle or no? I don't want her back but I am just wondering.

I found these threads; click here and here. :) They don't mention badges or the encyclopedia, but it makes sense that you'd get to keep those as well. :)

Yes, I moved Diana from Startown to Heaven and everything was saved, house, encyclopedia, badges, etc.
I'm not sure on this, but I don't think that you can reset maps and stuff when you start a new town when moving a character. I didn't reset maps because I wa afraid Diana's data would be lost. But I'm not 100% sure on this.
