Well have you? If so, how long did it take to find it? I recently found my second copy of New Leaf and am SO happy! Now I can move stuff over to my town Citrine and give it a really big boost! Below is my story on when I lost my second copy. It's pretty lengthy, so I put it in a spoiler box. Enjoy if you read it!

So as some of you may or may not know, I own a second copy of Animal Crossing: New Leaf. This copy has absolutely everything I have ever owned from my past town on it. I'm talking about money, furniture, hybrids, clothes, fruit...everything! It even has some stuff that my IRL friend (Yes, I have actual friends :p) owns!

So one day I get on my laptop and explored the Interwebz, go to bed, come back the next day to find that the second copy is gone! :o At first I was sort of panicky but calm, thinking I probably misplaced and I would find it soon. Did that happen? Nope! So then I actually started to panic ('cause if you couldn't already tell, I'm an addict on this game) and go through my bedroom, my brother and sisters's 3ds games, the living room, the draw with all the Wii U and 3DS games in it and I couldn't find it. I got sad and told my family if anyone sees it and it has my name on it, it's mine. My mum told me it's probably in my room (there's books and paper everywhere because my broken bookshelf got removed from there so there was a good chance it was in there) and once we clean the room up it will appear. I agreed with her and got on with my life for the next month, 2nd copy-less. (bad joke I know.)

It all changed today. I woke up at 5am needing to go to the toilet so I ran to to the toilet close to me, realized somebody had already used all of the toilet paper and quickly shuffled to the one outside of my living room. On my way I passed a chair used usually for reading a newspaper that has a small, black table next to it used for putting coffee next to it, small bowls wit biscuits in it, magazines and newspapers etc and saw a copy of Animal Crossing: New Leaf. In my head I thought: It's probably my brother or sister's copy but it wouldn't hurt to check because you never know... But I really HAD TO GO so I continued my journey to the toilet, used it, and went back to bed. I was about to go back to sleep when I realized Hey! I had forgotten the copy. But you're so close to sleeping and it's nice and warm and comfy here! My brain argued with me. But I didn't listen so I got up, got the game and retreated to the still-warm covers off my bed.

I opened the case up, expecting to see an empty case but instead found it had a chip in it and the inside of the white cover had my name on it! I couldn't believe it! I hugged it to my chest but stopped - what if it was my case but not my copy of the game? I abandoned my thought of sleeping and whipped out my 3DSXL and took out my first copy of the game and quickly slotted in the mystery copy. I held my breathe as it loaded and found that it was in fact my 2nd copy! Finally! But here's the thing - I had originally had it on the dining table with my laptop on it. The black table it was on was opposite to where the black table was so you would have to walk to get there.

So how did it get from A to B? Did someone move it, did I place it there without knowing and forgot about it for a month? That couldn't be the case as (I checked) there wasn't a case there before this morning...well, there was one but that was my brother's and then he moved it. So how did it get there? Was it under some newspapers or something that I simply didn't check? Or did someone perhaps hide it and then place it there. Hmm I guess there's more investigating to do...but after breakfast. And moving my stuff over to my 1st copy.

Thankfully, no.

I once lost my copy of Wild World for literally 10 seconds though. Oh golly, what a fright!

Also, New Leaf stays in everyone's DS 24/7, right? You'd have to loose the whole system, silly! :P

nope. i always keep them in their seperate boxes or my 3ds and i always put the boxes in one place. it would be The Worst if i lost one of my copies, i'd be heartbroken )x

My copies of ACNL never leave my ds's unless I'm present with the case containing the rest of my games to swap it out immediately. I'd pretty much have to lose the 3DS to lose my copies. :P

I misplaced it one time....I nearly cried lol T_T It took me half a day to find it and after that I was all maximum security on my game cartridges

When I had my bf game I played it and mine I put it in my pillow but when I was finding my game I couldn't find it... it finished in the floor because I turn light on and saw it there

This ! Exactly the same thing happened to me yesterday (but both copies are mine ) ! When I saw it on the floor I was afraid it was broken or something but everything was ok.

Broken? A friend of mine found a labelless Bejeweled DS game on the street that had been battered around for probably weeks on end and it was fine. These cartridges are tough.

well I have 2 copy but one is digital and the other is cartridge
and my bf is cartridge too :)
But really to think it's broken it's a bit far the only way to worry of it was the floor wet

My bed is a loft bed ( i'm not sure about the english word ) that's why I was worried about it ^^

Last summer when school ended I went to gamestop and bought new leaf for the first time since I thought it was so cool! I bought it and a few games since I was about to go on vacation and wanted something for the plane ride. Turns out over the whole course of that vacation I did use my DS but only for Colors 3D since that's pretty fun in itself. A few weeks after I got back from vacation I really wanted to play ACNL so I went to my backpack my games were in and they were gone. Me and my mom practically searched our whole house + my grandparent's house. We now just assume they were all lost at airport security or switching terminals and the games falling out! I have a new copy of every game I lost now though! :)

I'm one of the most organized people you could ever meet. I don't lose things because everything must go back in its exact place when I'm finished using it. Besides, I rarely remove my game from my 2DS.

Nope, never! My cartridge copy of New Leaf is always either on my desk or near my desk, in my 3DS, or in a case or my cabinet. I have lost a really good DS RPG once (and thank goodness I found it eventually), and it kinda scared me a bit since I was part-way through and I hate replaying certain games, so I always make sure my I have all my games somewhere safe and sound.

Once I almost did. I thought I misplaced it but it was just in my brother's 3DS because I used some play coins I had on my 3DS to buy stuff for his town. Crisis averted!

Nope i never have and hopefully never will. my 3ds on the other hand, I've lost it many times.
