As the title says has anyone played your animal crossing game? What exactly did they do? Yesterday my boyfriend came over while I was just about to start playing animal crossing because I thought he wasn't coming, but when he came he decided he was going to play and make me watch him. He didn't even do much. All he did was run around and when I told him not to run over my flowers he did exactly that. He was happy when my flowers were ruined and then he turned it off.

I let my boyfriend play one time for like 10 seconds and he just ran through all my flowers and was like "oops".
Then he wanted to fish so I let him and he caught like 3 fish and goes "fishing is a man's job" and it was just so dumb I laughed.

I let my 5 year old cousin play it. After ten minutes I realized he couldn't read, so I switched it to Pokemon and he had a good time.

Every time my boyfriend plays I say like 500 times "DONT RUN THROUGH FLOWERS" and he ALWAYS RUNS THROUGH THE GOD DAMN FLOWERS. EVERY. TIME. not even on purpose either

And then he goes "I want to fish" and can't figure out how to catch them. So I'm just like okay enough

This seems like a "guys suck at Animal Crossing" thread. :(

This thread is also starting to become really anti-kid. Why do you all hate men and kids so much? ;-;

Never. I've had five year olds at my summer camp ask, and I'm just like NO, YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO PLAY, YOULL SCREW EVERYTHING UP.

My cousin was really nice about it. He just walked around and "talked" to villagers. I didn't see anything out of place when he played.

I don't think I have. No one has really asked to play it. I'm the youngest in my whole family (I'm almost 21) so I don't have any younger kids asking what it is. My boyfriend had his own copy before we even met so he doesn't need to play mine. I remember talking about it a lot with my old roommate but I don't think she ever asked to play.

My little brother plays it, but he always goes to the dream towns and messes stuff up there rather than in my town! He also loves shaking the trees and doesn't know how to catch bees, so whenever a bee's nest comes down he either runs into a building or gets stung.

My boyfriend thinks I'm addicted to Animal Crossing and wouldn't even let me buy Wild World or City Folk when we were at GameStop together, let alone play it himself :(

Ahaha, no. ACNL is kind of a personal game if you think about it, so if you let someone else play they're probably going to mess it up somehow (unless they're just doing favors for villagers or something).
I let a 9 year old play my Pokemon Pearl a few years ago. He did a few battles, but he completely drained my Pokemon's HP, I had no potions and the only way out was between two trainers. :/ I didn't like to let others play my games after that experience.

My little sister has her own character in my town! She really enjoys decorating her house and placing flowers around the town ^^
The first day, I told her not to run on the flowers and I think she has only ran over a few.

I think it makes it kind of interesting in the town having another human being living in a town full of animals.

one time i let my bf play and you know what he did ?
he went to the island and collected all of the red and white roses and wrote yosef loves olle with them in the biggest pattern across my town and didn't allow me to move them after
so i let them grow out and fill

but that game was stolen ah
:(

I let my sister play it several times last week. She knew not to run and be mean to the villagers and whatnot but omg she plays with the volume all the way up and her friend was over and they were sitting on the loveseat amd I was on the couch across the room and I heard the flower trampling noise and I looked up really dramatically and said "I know you just ran over and destroyed some flowers" and her friend was kike "Oh my god did you see that from over there?" (there was not really any possible way for me to have seen it happen from where I was located so he was really surprised) and i said "No I heard it. I know the sound of flowers dying" or something to that effect. They were normal flowers, though, and it wasn't a big deal (or even a deal at all), in my opinion.

She really liked playing so I let her create her own save file!

She is really into it (she only really has experience with City Folk) and it is so cute honestly. She'll be like "look I planted A TREE near my house" and I told her to make a Mori DB wishlist so I could get her stuff and she was like still in the A's of the furniture just amazed by what was available. Like "an aLARM CLOCK?? THATS SO COOL"

Rooney gave her a biwa lute and I made her write him a thank-you letter. She also caught both the tarantula and the scorpion (which I hadn't yet been able to catch) within two days so now they are in our museum!!

It's also really fun to be able to interact with her virtually. I played before her today so after I dug up all the stars I re-planted them (except for the pitfall seed) in front of her house so she could have the joy of digging them up (the thrill of the hunt).

Also the single black tulip I had on the beach (I keep my hybrids there) was missing so I sent her a letter asking her what she did to them and later she showed me she had put them behind my house with some normal tulips and omg.. she said "I thought they needed to be with other tulips" and so they are still there.

A couple hours ago she left to go on a month-long trip and I told her to text me what I can do on her save file for her. I think I will probably just be upgrading her house, though. Maybe I can do some secret interior design, as well. (If I do any interior design, I'll keep the prank to seriousness ratio at about 1:10, I think.)

It is also nice that I now have a second character to save patterns on! Letting her play my game has proven to be a good happening in Beantown

This is honestly so cute. She sounds so adorable.

She is! I think the way I described her in that post makes her sound around 10, but she is almost 16. She still knows how to have fun like a 10 year old, though, which makes me happy and makes me think she will do just fine in life.

Plus, from a logical standpoint, that single tulip wasn't going to breed sitting alone on the beach. I think, in the back of her mind, she knows a bit about the Animal Crossing flower breeding process/concept and so this was probably her basis of reasoning for moving it. She's a smart kid and I am really proud of her and so that's why I'm kind of gushing about her and run-on sentences are good for gushing

No, never. Something usually ends up amiss.
If I do let them play it, I just turn it off without saving..
I rather face the consequences of Resetti than dirt patches or missing flowers :P
