Have you ever got a friend into AC?

Today I gave my friend an old, repaired 3ds and ACNL. She came to my house one day, started playing on my spare town and 3ds, and she really liked it. It took forever to get the 3ds back, but I'm so excited that I have someone to play with. We're probably going to to play this weekend.
She sent me this 20 minutes ago:

And said, "I went into someone's house and played their piano and they clapped for me."
I'm still laughing at her town name.

first my friend got me into acnl, then we got our other friends to play. one had city folk but we got her into new leaf. i love having friends that play bc then we can all play together

and OMG that town name, i llove it.

My friend got me into it. Then I got it for two of my friends and my bf. So we all played together the XMas after it's release for a good while. It was nice but then they kind of all stopped playing.

I got my brother into acnl. He doesn't have his own copy so he made a character in my town and plays with his friend.

I actually became best friends with my best friend bc of animal crossing! we were talking about video games one day and she mentioned how she always loved playing accf when she was younger, so I eventually convinced her to buy a 3ds + acnl. we played almost everyday together for more than a year :') good times

When I started playing Wild World back in 2006, I got my school friend into it and we connected online often. Playdates and indoor recesses were spent on our DS's. Our friendship extended into City Folk, 2008 and onward. We had a lot of fun together.

I wish I had a friend to play ACNL with. All of my friends are too obsessed with social media and Netflix to care about the new Switch or Nintendo 3ds. Last year when I told my friend I asked for a 3ds for Christmas, she was like "people still use those??"

I've tried twice to get real life friends involved, - to my surprise both were very anti, I got why are you wasting your time on a computer game? I think its probably my age, in my 60's now and both friends were similar age.
I talk about gaming with two younger people, far more accepting, but they play with xbox & PS4.
